As a charitable non-profit society Quantum Conservation relies on honorary helpers to complete all of our projects and we would be very grateful for your valuable assistance.

Because we really do appreciate your help, we have restructured our work model to improve relations with our Quantum Verzeichnis Team.

In future every co-worker will:-

1. receive a bound copy of the Quantum Verzeichnis book on which they have worked, including the CD-ROM insert.
2. receive credit for their work on the editorial page.
3. be able to attend the annual “ZooKunft” conference we organise with no participation fee.
4. receive the DVD of the “ZooKunft” conference proceedings.
5. if attendance at the “ZooKunft” is not possible for whatever reason, a compensatory payment of €50.00 will be paid to you or credited to a conservation programme of your choice if you so wish.
6. be entitled to a personal email address to communicate with Quantum Verzeichnis and for your own personal use.
7. be featured on a special co-worker web page featuring your personal efforts.
8. be entitled to have a personal web page stored on our server for biographical details. Help will be available to construct your page.
9. receive a certificate of appreciation detailing your contribution to species conservation.
10. hopefully receive a small work of art every year which will be a limited edition signed by the artist.

What you will do
The work we would like you to do will depend on the area or country available and this will be assigned after consultation with you.
We already have a base of information which requires updating. At the moment this updating can be done through the web site forms for each change, but also through revising a Word document which we will send you. At some time in the future we hope to install online access to the database.
Your job will be to search the internet using this information to keep the data up-to-date. In some cases it may be necessary to directly contact institutions to ask them specific questions which are not available elsewhere. For large zoos/organisations with a lot of data which changes frequently, it is helpful to establish a contact within the organisation to obtain a last-minute update at the beginning of January (usually before the 15th) so that it can be included in the next publication.

There are a few important organisational matters for you to note and where necessary complete:-

a. You must only send your data and updates to office@quantum-verzeichnis.org and nowhere else.
b. We ask you to confirm your postal address, telephone/fax number and your personal email address. We would also like you to send us a photo so we can better feature you on the co-workers site. Please keep us informed of any changes in these details.
c. Please write a short note saying you are willing to work on the collection of data for the Quantum Verzeichnis and which area you cover. Although you do not need to actually say so, this note implies that you agree to conscientiously collect information and will send updates regularly, at least every year by January 15th. We will send you a Word document of the information we have already collected from you to make your work easier. If you have another, preferred method, in use, please tell us about it as soon as possible. You may continue to use the web site www.quantum-verzeichnis.org to update or create a new entry.
d. Your work is entirely on behalf of Quantum Verzeichnis and Quantum Conservation e.V. and must not be given to any third party without prior approval.
e. You may stop collecting data for us at any time, but ask you to inform us as soon as possible so we can arrange a replacement.
If you would like to join our international team, please contact us at office@quantum-verzeichnis.org.
